Newbie issues...please help a Sista out!

well, I 've read just about all the posts and it seems we all have (or have had) the same issues. Not much of a "techie/know how things work kinda girl" but dang-it, I can make some music! I'm just getting started on the 808ex and I was making progress until...

1. I lost all demo info (bought 808ex used). Does anyone have a demo disk to sell? Not that I need it but some of the samples were cool. I reset factory -why, I don't know!

2. I think I experienced the "click of death". Drive made noises, now all I get is ERROR. Roland said the drive may have died (GREAT!!!) any suggestions?

3. I tried to record a on a trk last night - rec lights on, etc. but nothing recorded.

Please help a sista out! I really want to keep this thing. I'm pitching tracks next week need some kind of resolution.
