My Sunsongs Seven Reviews!

This is a very nice dance track with a bit of a Talvin Singh feel. Nice swirly piano effect. Cool use of guitar samples. The singer has a cute voice. The funny thing is the musical parts have a similar feel to many of my songs, so I like it.

Eh-Oh
The first ten seconds I was like "What the???" but then after hearing all the different sounds throughout the track, I was impressed by the turntablist tricks used to get some of the vocal snippets. It's a pretty cool track and I could definitely see this as something played at a cool lounge or posh restaurant.

Don't Make Me
This is really, really driving. It moves really well and would be good music to drive fast to on a highway. The vocals are very catchy, very edgy, a little sibilant, but if that's fixed, the song is great. I don't normally listen to this type of music, but I could easily find myself listening to this track. Good stuff!

Kill Process
Neat filter sweeps and resonation. Neat sounds. Nice little melodic trance hook. Would be great as a part of a goa trance lounge mix.

Aesophygus
This is another track with some very unique sounds and very interesting beats. I could meditate to this. The spring sounds in the middle are cool.

Wormhole Party Line
This is a very unusual track to me. It's cool that all of these different voices are meshing with one another, coming in and out, and swirling around other voices. It's a really neat chill-out track.

Twisted Pair
This is a cute song with an excellent intro (I can see many of you are delving into Middle Eastern influences these days). Nice example of call and response on many planes.

Turple Soap
Cool little catchy punk rock song with good guitar samples and wacky sound effects.

Inconspicuous Consumption
Hmmm... maybe I'm not smart enough to understand this track, but it seems to have a lot of interesting samples from... maybe B-movies? Ah, the music comes in at about 1:00 and it is ominous. At times, it is very ominous and it makes you really want to listen to whole track. What the heck is the message here? I felt a little frightened after listening to this, the same kind of feeling I had after watching "May" a couple of days ago.

Overall, I'm very impressed with this CD. I'm surprised that most everyone got their tracks louder than mine because I'm usually known for producing some very loud tracks, so great job to everyone!
