startup

hi Darius
the sp808 does not need a startup disk.
you should be able to turn it on (no disk inserted), wait for it to go thru its motions, once it has settled (about 30-60 seconds), you can insert a zip disk.
if the disk is new, the 808 will ask if you want to format it - choose yes. and away you go!

if the disk is blank, the 808 won't make a sound ....at least not til you find the ****hot synth hidden in the fx bank or load some samples.
hope this is helpful

if you have done all this and it is not working....what do you see on the screen?
