Hell, I did it anyway...

by

I got the drive today and installed it with ease... So far I formatted a Sandisk 2GB SD card and recorded like normal and saved the song title as well, the main difference I see so far is the fact that this drive doesn't have an eject button on the face like the zip, therefore no prompt to save before eject. Which I am cool with cause I save regularly anyway. I have loaded multiple samples using the wav converter and everything seems to be working perfect.... This rocks the hell out of the old zip, and further it is quiet due to no moving parts. The only other oddity though is when you stop sampling and it just auto saves versus the "check sample o.k.?" screen and says "completed". This too is fine, as I have hit the no button out of "daze" ( I spend too much time on the 808 at times that I loose my concentration and sleep )and lost samples in the past...
I def. recommend this upgrade... as far as other bugs that people might have, maybe they should try the Sandisk brand, it's been my experience that those are some of the the most reliable cards ever. I'm still testing all other aspects and will post whatever I find...
