Response to Masking Tires

What I do is take a tireless rim and lay on a piece of 2 inch masking tape stuck to glass and cut the shape of the rim. Then cut the tape into a large square which will cover the tire. Stick the square piece of tape with the circle cut out over the front side of the tire and paint the rim. You should have painted the whole wheel black first, which I use Tamiya Nato Black because it has a touch of grey in it that gives it that rubber look.
