Response to Is it that much of a problem?

First thanks David I was getting ready for AMPS and did not have much time I am afraid so missed this question.

Rod, no not a choice really it was just to-hand so I used it, I always try to remember to wash all the parts with Meths as it cleans off the oils from my hands that have coated the surface, I get better adhesion that way with the CA glue. As for the soot, well as David advises really, it should just wipe off. I used to get the soot but since I got the little jet lighter i do not get any.

Wipe it off or get a jet lighter, either is fine

Sorry for the delay
