Have always used Testor's Dull-cote, thinned with lacquer thinner at about 50-50 ratio. At contest several weeks ago someone, whose work is very, very good, told me he uses Humrol Matt varnish for his 'flat coat'. Thought I'd try it so see if I liked it.

Does any use Humbrol matt varnish? Do you thin it with lacquer thinner? At 50-50? Work ok for you? Thought I'd ask before I give it a go!

Thanks in advance!
