Response to Acrylic removal help needed

"has been sprayed with Tamiya paint out of a can 106 light stone "

Tamiya or Testors? and if its from a spray can its not an acrylic.

I use Castrol Super Clean, which is an engine degreaser that you can buy at Wal Mart, auto parts stores, etc. It comes in small Windex type bottles but I buy the gallon jug. Works great for most paints except Tamiya spray laquer. I find it is faster than oven cleaner, and won't hurt plastic. I just put the model I am stripping in a plastic tub or box and fill it up with Super Clean. Depending on the type of paint and how long it has dried, the paint basically will disappear in 15 minutes to overnight.
