Technique for rolling out tarps?

There have been some absolutely stunning tarps on models in the Constructive Comments section recently. Each time they appear, members, including myself, have asked how the builder achieved such remarkable results. Unfortunately, the questions always remain unanswered. Speaking only for myself, I'm aware of the basic technique involved, i.e., rolling out a thin sheet of putty using talc to keep it from sticking, but try as I might, I have not been able to come close to the results in the photos. So how about it? How about one of the masters whose work inspires us mere mortals coming forward and providing a step-by-step account of exactly how they make such brilliant tarps? Hmmm? Pretty please?

Michael
