Response to How do you make a 9/32" hole in .02" plastic sheet?

For many years I've been making my own punches for masking tape and thing styrene sheet out of brass tube. For a 9/32 hole I'd get a 1/4" inner diameter tube and sharpen one end using a file on the outside to a measured outer diameter of 9/32.

You need to mark the location of the hole, use a compass to draw a concentric circle slightly larger than you need, then align the purpose made punch and usea small hammer to cut out a disk with your tube punch.

I routinely use this technique to cut disks of tape to mask wheels as well as thing card disks of sizes not covered by my punch sets and too small for a compass cutter.
