Thanks Dave, just the sort of answer I was looking for (and beautifully illustrated I might add!). I thought a wash might be the way to go, but thought I might also try it through an AB as well, but I like what you achieved on the Merkava and will definitely give that method a try on a desert subject I'm working on right now.
