I recently bought some Humbrol matt model cote, and i have since heard stories of it discolouring or going opaque on spraying. my question is what is the best way of thinning and spraying it so that the above doesn't happen ??
Thanks,
Simon.

Humbrol Mattecote

One issue with this product is that if a mineral spirits wash is applied over it, the Matte cote is attacked and drys the second time in a blotchy mess of white chalky residue. Humbrol makes great paints, but their clear coats do not have much good press in the industry. I disposed of mine after having this happen and then reading of the same problem in a Military Modeling Mag article soon after.
