I am working on a Late Jagdpanther and would like to make the cutting torch edges more pronounced. Anyone have any ideas on this? If possible, I would like to hear as many ideas as are out there. I am stuck-

Thanks

James

hi the best way is to obtain a pyrograve and use the tip flat to the edge to give a tiny indent , then repeat as many times as needed . cheers ian

Safer way

Instead of using heat which can melt i use modelers rasp files. Lots of small yet scaled cutting teeth. Usually used to reduce wood quickly. Depending on how you attack the plastic with what edge/angle of the rasp ypu can produce all kinds of "worked" edges. Best BC1 (that was for you Gary, thanks for the scolding I feel better now)

Modellers' needle files

I use the oval one to replicate flame cut armor. You can use the rounder part and the sharper part to give differing types of "cut".

That's what I did for my current Super Pershing project. Hard to see cuz I used Evergreen.

Most of the edges have the "flame cut"
