Drying times depend greatly on a couple of factors: how much you thin the oils, and how thick you apply them.
I only use oils for faces on figures, so I'm working with moderately thinned paints. I find they're usually pretty well set after 24 hours, good enough for painting the eyes, but I like to give them 2-3 days before any handling or top-coating.
I'm very happy with the results, BTW; I was reluctant to try a new medium, but now I'm glad I did.
