How to use dry transfers??

Hello Everyone,
I wanted to ask if anyone has any tips on using dry transfers, particularly alignment of the transfers. I have not used dry transfers yet, still using decals, and would like to start using them. I am not sure how to align the transfers as they are a "one shot deal", unlike decals that can be moved after placement. I use acrylic paints and I am not sure if using masking tape as a guide is a good idea. Just fearing pulling up a chunk of paint while trying to align the transfer. So if anyone has any help they could lend, I would be extremely appreciative.

Best Wishes and Happy Holidays,

Walter

I cut out the numbers that I plan on using, then lay them out how I want them installed...

then I lay tape on them and stick them to the tank. You need the low-tack stuff by Tamiya or 3M and just rub away.

The only problem I ever had doing it this way, was that I didn't rub one number enough and it didn't stick.
