During Mr. Zaloga's presentation at the Maryland AMPS show this year, he mentioned a putty he uses to attach PE with. At the time I wrote down the name, but of course can not find that paper now. Does anybody know what it was called.

Thank you,

James

Putty?

June 19 2009, 12:24 PM

Hello James:

Nice to meet you at AMPS this year.

I did not attend that demo, but I seem to recall someone (Steve?) using AVES Apoxie Sculpt, which is a 2-part putty. I think there are several others at there as well, including Milliput.

Here's a link to the Ausfwerke site which demonstrates a technique (don't know if it's similar to Steve's?)

http://ausfwerks.com//techniques/apoxie/pe.html

Ausfwerkes, Sprue Brothers and others stock AVES.

Some of my group are using Gator Glue (a water-based product), which I have ordered, but haven't tried yet.

HTH,

Mike

Is gator-glue made by the same as gorrilla glue? which I tried and didn't care for.

Gator Glue

No relation to Gorilla Glue. Gator is a water based product. Google gator glue, and it will take you to the website, where you should be able to find information. I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard good things...

No relation to the seller, but I did order direct from him, and was shipped no problem.

Apparently, since it is water-based, it does freeze, and when it does, it's not a good thing, so now (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) is a good time to order (90+ degrees F in Virginia!)

HTH,

Mike
