Hello,
I'm thinking of finally starting a DML King Tiger and I have the Eduard Zimmerit for it. How good is the zimmerit? Would it be better to try and get a Cavalier or Atak Zimmerit? Also, any tips on applying the Eduard Zimmerit?

Dennis

It is "okay"...

I used some of the Eduard stuff on the Tamiya Brummbaer. Its ok for Panzer IV based zimmerit. The pattern is fairly regular and not very deep though. Attak might be the best option. Or just buy the Dragon KT with zimmerit and be done with it... The bulk of KT's did not have it either.

Don't care for it

For my two cents it just does not capture the look of Zimmerit, the roughness, the non-uniformity, they just aren't there.

I know it's a tough thing to do but why not check out some of the tutorials and posts on the subject you can find on the web and try making your own?
It's certainly less expensive than buying it pre-made and you get more artistic control over the final product.
Worth thinking about at least.

Best of luck!

Mark
