Battle damage to resin?

I have an upcoming project...and I need suggestions on how to do small arms damage to resin. Normally I'd use a pyrogravure to do the damage in plastic, but I don't think I'd be able to do the same with resin.

Little resin experience, but...

Scott:
I will precondition this by saying I have used resin a grand total of three times in my life, so feel free to ignore this guess. But what about a small diameter steel cutter in a dremel? It would seem that thinning it for bends and punctures or scouring it for shots and shrapnel might work. Good luck, justin pockar
