I was interested in doing the same mod to my pgp 2 awhile ago and tried it and it works beautifully. First of all the cooper-t stuff does not work with the new pgps due to the different threading on the Co2 changer. I took a empty Co2 cylinder and tapped it, all of the info is on the links page of this site under Tech Ca conversion. I then used steel brake cable which I bent to the correct size. It works well just remember to buy a Co2 tank with a shutoff valve otherwise you can blow and O-ring.
