I already made that set screw flush with the bolt. As of now, I've even gone so far as to remove the set screw for the time being.
Problem is with the two ball bearings. They simply won't budge (they won't go inwards like the original did), and without them giving just a little... the bolt does not seem to fit inside the gun.
