I actually bought this for my 12 year old son who has developed an interest in paintball.

Is this a wise choice, or would you recommend some thing else. He is not going to compete with it but his friends have "paint ball parties" he would like to go to. Is it likely that this is what the other kids have also? He mentioned something he saw at the sports authority for about $80.
