1. do you have to pump the pumper before every shoot?

Yes, you have to pump in between each shots. To fire a PGP, you must pump the bolt back, rock it slightly backward to roll a ball into the chamber, then pump it forward, and then pull the trigger.

2. How many shoots can you get out of 12 grams

about 20 shots at a playable velocity, 10 more if you get in close and shoot for something hard like the mask

3. how far can the pgp shoot?

Depends on it's velocity, the new model has an adjustable velocity, about 280 fps is most field limits. So, it will shoot as far as any other gun at 280 feet per second. Around 100 feet or so that is, effectively. Closer is always more effective.

4. looking at a 12 gram cartrige, do you have to pole a hole in the top and then put it in the gun?

The first shot you take should be without paint, as this pierces the seal on the 12 gram, and isn't a useable velocity. If you poked the hole beforehand the air would all shoot out.

5. Do i sound like a retard?

No, just new, heh.

6. were did u buy or order your gun? Dose it come with a manual?

It ought to come with a manual if new, I got mine from www.countypaintball.com , www.siegecraft-paintball.com also has it, and both sites are run by cool guys who know what they are doing and give good service.

7. what dose a barrle plug do? What do you have to do to maintain this gun? Oils?

The barrel plug is a primary safety feature, if the plug is in the gun, a paintball cannot be shot into someone's eye in the staging area right? Since the plug breaks the ball in the barrel instead of someone's face. It should always be in the gun in an area where goggles are off.

8. Last, dose this gun only use 12 gram cartrages? what is the use of buying this gun were you pump it, were you can buy another gun were u don't have to pump it????

Yes, it only uses 12 gram cartridges. What is the use of it if you have to not only pump it, but rock it as well? Challenge, cost efficiency, build skill, lightweight, that sort of thing.

You seem like a new player, so would I recommend this gun? Only if you are able to play a more mental game and work around your limitations, and not get discouraged by the superior firepower surrounding you. Ultimately it's one paintball only that is needed to eliminate someone, the challenge lies in getting that paintball on them without getting hit yourself.

If you play against guys that have pump guns, or all have stock class guns like the PGP, then none of you will outgun the other, but if you play against semi automatics with this, you will probably feel outgunned, and as a new player, get discouraged. Either don't let it discourage you, or think about getting one later on for when you want to have a challenge, build skill, or only spend $20 or less for a day of playing.
