Sure,I used my pgp for about a year before I bought another gun.Be sure to buy a velocity
adjuster and a fasst changer because a stock
pgp checks in at about 250fps and the 12 grams are a bitch to change. If you want a unique pgp
checkout palmers pursuit shop.

Getting into Sheridan pump guns

by (no login)

I'm still new to paintball, I haven't even been playing for a whole year yet, but I've been learning as much as I can about paintguns. WHen I was reasearching the PGP, I found this page, with all the cool pictures or custom guns. I'd like to get my own PGP for a side arm, and have it tuned up. How much does Palmer's charge for a barrel hone, nickel platting and grips? (indiviually and all at once). I am also impressed with the pic of the silenced KP rifle, where can I get one of those and that stock?

thanks,

Pgp answers...

by Perch (no login)

Hey.. good to have you here.
Well prices for palmers is on this page
http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/catalog/upgrades.htm
Grips are $24 from them.

Okay... IMHO.. It would be alot better to get Doc Nickel to do this.. even better, get a limited edtion pgp from him. Pic is at the bottome of this page
http://www.ptialaska.net/~airserv/specials.html
HE does GREAT work. I'm getting my pgp from him. He is asking $150 for the LE pgp. This is a steal! Pgp, grips, barrel hone, velocity adjuster, nickel plating, fassst changer, and valve porting (enable 49 shot per 12 gram!!) This package saves alot of money and you end up with just as or better than palmers.

As to the Kp3 question. No you can't get them anymore... Trust me.. I've tried. The stock is also rare.

Polishing your PGP

by Otter Bob (no login)

I was thinking the other day how nice it would be to take the black paint off of my PGP and polish up the brass that is underneath it. I am sure I have the tools and if not I have someone that could get them for me, and I was wondering if any of you PGP owners out there have any hints, tips or have done this yourself, so that maybe someone could tell me how to do it. Thanks.

removing the paint....

by (no login)

Since I strip quite a few to apply the Moly coating, I've found that paint stripper is by far the easiest method of removal. I use a spray on "contractor" grade but most should work.
Be prepaired for a lot of polishing, from now on. The brass oxidizes rather quickly and needs constant polishing to keep looking good. Brasso does a nice job once you have the surface cleared of imperfections.

Copper-T

by Butcher (no login)

Now I noe this is sacralige to post this on a Sheridan board, and heresy to say I used my PGP moneey to help get a Palmer Pug for Christmas.

But I was wondering if you make stocks. I know the Pug will come with battle grips so I figure that I have some options.

1) Buy a stock that screws in the battle grips.
2) Buy a bottom line adapter for ASA stocks
3) Buy a whole new grip and then choose option 1 or 2.

Now to be positive do you also make stocks for PGPs?

I notice that funsupply and Phoenix Services have different catalogs. Will you be updating the Phoenix Services site?

Also is there a charge for a catalog? If not I would love to have one or do I need to buy something to get a catalog?

One very last thing. Why red anodizing? My great grandfather who did hand gold leaf printing was big into the color red and green. Painted every tool he had in red and green and then some. His motto was if it wasn't painted it wasn't pretty. Lord knows he's probally trying to paint the golden gates of heaven as we speak.

well try this

by (no login)

So you are going to get battle grips. You will still need to get a set of UMB's, this will alow you to mount any bottom line attachment to your PUG.

Or you could get a palmer wedge stock, they are vary nice looking and from what I have heard fairly comfortalbe.

Thes are just some other things you might want to try.

talk to you later.

PGP Mods

by (no login)

What are some of the different 12 gram speed changers that everyone has seen used on the PGP? What do you use? What exactly is a FASST CHANGE? Also what is everyones' favorite type of stock for not just the PGP but also the PMI-1 and P68-SC?
Favorite grips and why? I am leaning towards the PMI rubber grips because I like the way they fit into my hand. Not to take away from the nice stock wooden grips!

PMI rubbers...

by Jeb Hoge (no login)

Well, don't know about those, but the grips you
can get from SkanLine, Palmers (no pun intended),
Pev's in VA (pretty sure I saw them there), and
probably order from damn near any little shop that
has a PMI wholesale catalog. The grips (from what
I've been told, I think by Glenn Palmer) are
actually made by Hogue, the company that makes the
fantastic pistol grips and overmolded rubber rifle
stocks. Makes sense...they're identical in
construction. Good stuff.

grips and stuff

by (no login)

OK, I'll try again...........

I use a set of smart parts blue wood grips for WGP/AGD frames. They have the same basic shape as the sheridan, and since I made my stock from 1/2"
aluminum and bolted it right to the bottom of the frame nothing hangs down. Hope that helps,

I want to to be able to load a ten round tube in the "front" of my pgp. extending it to about 20 rounds, and where ball will not fall out when you pull the tube out. I was going to make one but if there is one out there it will save me time.

Seeing as how the PGP was created on the old

unless Crosman's changed something recently. Not
disputing your claim, however.

Hell, if I had the $90 or so to spend on one, I'd
get the pellet pistol just to see what I *could*

A Couple More Questions For Chauncey

What is a Rocker Pump? You should work on a whole slew of accesories for PGP's, how about some sight rails, a tube extension thet lets you fit in an additional 10 rounds via plastic tube, etc. Be sure to let us know when you make a run of Nasty Pumps for PGP's. Thanks. OtterBob

tube extension

by Chauncey (no login)

we do make a tube extension that slides over the top ball tube and extends back at a 45' angle. yes both for right or left handers. the paint tube slides into the end like a stigk feed. adds 12 balls, no mods. $12.00 while supply lasts. not going to make more. too much work. a sight rail can be made easily using a piece of 3/4 copper tube, solder a brass rail to it, slide over tobe and instal sight.
