From Laos to India/Bangladesh through Yan-nan province (China)

Me and my friends are travelling from Bangkok to the north parts of Laos in late august.
And I was woundering if anyone know a way to take from Laos through Yan-nan (China) to India and Bangladesh, without go trhough Burma/Myanmar?
And if it is possible to do that att all?
