Nice to see our NotInept government is pulling out all the stops re transport. At last they have appointed a man of long experience and expertise in transport matters, John Birt.
This is the man who made a horlicks of the BBC, then went on to produce not a single idea on crime.
His thoughts on transport so far include the gem " motorists must pay more towards public transport".
What, £40 billion a year not enough?
Just try it, John.
