You really are a moron, aren't you!

"That's the Nottingham Ring Road. Schools,"

One that immediatly springs to mind:

No access onto the ringroad if I recall.

"shops,"

Half a dozen on the whole ringroad?

Set well back behind a verge and a forecourt?

"houses"

There are sections with no houses at all.

And section with houses, but no access from them.

And the rest are almost all behind a verge.

"with drives elderly people"

Wot?

Elderly people sleeping rough in drives behind the verges?

"several roundabouts"

Wot?

Like the A1 you mean?

You mean you think 50 and 60 where appropriate is too low do you?

You want 70?!

Fair enough!

"and junctions"

And?

"pedestrian crossings"

You want them taking out?

"and Bogush thinks 50 or 60 is an appropriate speed."

According to goverbnment guidelines.

What planet are you from, Nonny?

Do you have cars there?

Are you allowed to think?

2 Hospitals so elderly people, shops yes several parades schools I can think of one on the ring road and 2 close to from which children need to cross. Houses all the way until past the QMC. 40 is an appropriate speed and anyone who proposes faster is showing they are nothing but a speed freak.

What on earth are you on (about)?

"2 Hospitals"

Wot?

On the car-riageway?

On the central reservation, even?

No.

"On" the Ring Road.

So what?

There are bus stops in the extensive hospital grounds.

Pedestrian subways out of the QMC.

And Pelican crossings out of the City?

"so elderly people"

So, it's old people in cars you are concerned about!

"shops yes several parades"

Several?

And where?

On the car-riageway?

On the central reservation, even?

No.

"Miles" off  the Ring Road.

I suppose you want the M1 to be a 20 mph zone because of "shops yes several parades" on it!

"schools I can think of one on the ring road"

As I told you, and with no access.

"and 2 close"

And I bet there's a dam sight more than two close to the M1.

So what?

"to from which children need to cross."

Again, there are pelican crossings.

Oh, but they were going to put one where the kids crossing from the High School playing fields ran to the "tuck shop".

But it got moved a few hundred yards up the road.

Allegedly because some councillor, or maybe just a relative, friend, or perhaps just an aquaintance, crossed there.

Once a fortnight.

Or something.

So they say.

Probably just gossip.

So my cynicism about road "safety" "planning", and protecting kids from killing themselves is probably totally misplaced.

Allegedly.

"Houses all the way until past the QMC."

All the way?

Clearly you haven't driven it.

No houses on one side from Mansfield road to way past Hucknall road.

Large chunks with no houses from there to past Vernon/Radford Roads.

Large chunks with no houses on either side between Nuthall Road and Wollaton Road (nearly a kilometre?).

"40 is"

NOT

"an appropriate speed"

For large chunks of it.

"and"

Anyone who says that:

"anyone who proposes faster is showing they are nothing but a speed freak."

Is an anti-car freak.

Can't manage to dredge up anything half resembling the emaciated corpse of a pale imitation of a barely reasoned response?

No change there then!

You are so smug and complacent! Just the sort of person I'd love to get in my hospital. I'd dress up in full nurses uniform with thigh length leather boots and inflict massive amounts of pain inducing drugs in elephant scale syringes before whipping you with a stethascope.

Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhh

Bore da

What's this about then, DROID?

At least you have made it clear that you are the WUS here!

Anyway I MUST have treated you in my patch cos how else could you know what I wear and what I actually do to my patients. They have accident DELIBERATELY just so's I can treat 'em in my SPECIAL way!

That's really why they asked the scamship to downgrade the road and place scams there to induce panic braking. Just so's they could skid and have a goood excuse to be treated at my hospital!

My nursie staff also follow my lead!

Like to see the proof of your answers - put 'em in writing so's they can see them!

Cannot understand how you managed to score as highly as you claim though - since your reading material appears to be the "Woman's Weekly!"

Clever aren't you. Since when have those questions been part of any driving test?
I could ask you:

What is the stopping distance of a class 92 with 1000 tonnes on a 2% down grade at 120Kph?

I can be just as big an anorak as you

"What is the stopping distance of a class 92 with 1000 tonnes on a 2% down grade at 120Kph?"

Whatever it is, it doesn't sound like it's likely  to be short enough to allow 1000 tons do 12kph, never mind 120kph, safely.

And what has 2% got to do with anything?

You wouldn't let a road be that level as water would never drain off it!
