| ...from 'On The Road':
A driver convicted of causing an accident in which a motorcyclist died was the road safety officer for South Glos council. He admitted pulling across the path of an oncoming vehicle and to having two bald tyres on his car.
***Hypocrite***
Motorists in Edinburgh face being fined for failing to display a parking permit even if the machine is broken. The council has ordered its wardens to ignore window stickers which claim 'machine out of order', even if the machine is broken! The driver is expected to find a working machine elsewhere.
***I don't suppose the council has any responsibility for keeping the machines in order? And you know what's going to happen when you leave your car for ten minutes in search of a working machine?***
Kidderminster taxi drivers are raising their fares to pay for all the damage caused by the recent increase in 'traffic calming' measures in the area. One car needed its suspension renewed twice in three tears.
Residents in Hadleigh, Essex claim accidents in their village have rocketed since traffic calming measures were introduced in March. They say they weren't even consulted and want it all taken out.
***Surprised?***
Road humps in Sheffield's Shire Green have had to be removed after several bus drivers threatened to strike over back pain.
Lancashire police have shelved plans to install an extra 100 Gatsos, because there have been so many complaints.
***Complaining works! Get your grumpy heads on.***
A speed camera has been stolen after being uprooted near Lancaster. Last year three cameras were sawn down.
***No comment, ahem...***
The North Wales 'Arrive Alive' scameraship continues its great 'success'. By the start of November, 18 bikers had been killed on the regions roads, compared to just 7 last year and 10 in 2001.
***There are lies, damned lies and Partnerships.***

No lentil-huggers or bong-merchants. Thankyou.
