They cite the M25 as "proof" that if you build a new road it immediately fills up.
What they forget to tell you is that it is the only part of a five ring system actually built.
Or that the system was originally designed in the 50's/60's, planned after the Second World War, but first proposed after the First World War (but put on the back burner in the depression).
And that it was originally conceived to rid London of horse congestion and pollution!
And urban congestion is, of course, down to traffic.
Going down in towns over the last decade!
