Bogush is currently spamming my home email account with numerous large unsolicited emails. This is causing serious problems to my modem connection. Last night he sent ~5MB of rubbish.

Firstly, I have notified Freeserve: they have a mechanism for reporting email abuse. If they do not take action, then I will contact a solicitor to seek legal advice. I will not be subjected to a personal attack.

Secondly I returned a small fraction (~20%) of the nonsense back to this site whence it came.

I note that Bogush has blocked my home IP address. Given that he has been whinging that he was banned from the BBC for disrupting other users, this strikes me as gross hypocrisy.

BOGUSH: I presume you intend to sensor this by moving it out of site of editing it. I would rather you did not.

I hardly think that moving "posts" of tens of thousands of words cut from pages of unrelated threads and repeatedly posted into an unconnected one counts as censorship.

 

Nor does finally deleting the eight or nine new pure spam threads you managed to post before I blocked you.

 

And I don't think that returning spam threads/forwarding them for transmission to another spammer to someone who:

a) Is clearly a spammer.

b) Has clearly announced that he is going to continue spamming while ever somone else excercises free speech.

c) Has clearly identified that he has, is, or will be, working in concert with the other spammer.

Counts as "spamming  [your] home email account with numerous large unsolicited emails".

 

However, I would think that returning the unsolicited spam threads to me, rather than graciously accepting them back, or transmitting them to whoever else originated them, does count as "spamming my home email account with numerous large unsolicited emails."

I've been trying to notify various ISP's about spam for months and they take as much notice of genuine complaints as the BBC forum and Backroom "moderators".

So you might well strike lucky and get a response to your "complaint".

 

But I hope I'm wrong for once:

Should open up an interesting can of worms.

You mean "disrupting" you by having the audacity to argue my position tenaciously.

Actually, I was banned for having the audacity to complain tenaciously about multiple and ongoing abuse of all the forum rules by several of the other "contributors", including using multiple concurrent log-ins to disrupt debate.

And the second time for  having the audacity, having been told that they could not discuss the banning of my first account while it was banned, to re-register a new account, which is not against the rules.

 

I hardly think that in the circumstances eventually stopping people posting massive unrelated cut and paste posts from other fora repeatedly into unconnected threads on mine counts as any degree of hypocricy, never mind gross hypocricy.

 

And I won't even mention the porn email I've been receiving.

 

Not that that is necessarily related either.

 

But I did advise you to choose your playmates more carefully.

And to keep out of the kitchen if you couldn't stand the heat.

Didn't I?!
