Motorists face blitz of fines under Government plans to encourage more bus lane scams across the country!
Local authorities will be give the green light to keep the proceeds from £100 fixed penalty fines.

Critics fear that this will be yet another scam tax, pointing out that the Capital has issued 426,000 tickets in past 12 months!
They complain that the bus lanes are specifically designed to trap motorists! (Yup!)
Drivers in some parts of London claim that the bus lanes - originally meant to prevent buses being slowed down by traffic - are now intended to trap drivers! Otheres complain that buslanes can be dangerous and are often poorly signposted!
RAC road safety experts say that one notoriously short buslane at a bottleneck in Putney, SW London, forces drivers to choose between a fine and a collision!

"Bus lanes are supposed to improve traffic flow, not raise revenue. But there is too often a conflict between bus lanes and road safety.
"Designs are often dangerous and risk unfairly trapping motorists!"
