Speeders ... being watched like a 'hawk'
MOTORISTS 'squawked' with rage last night as police revealed plans to fit speed cameras on HAWKS.
Specially-trained birds in the new 'Flying squad' will 'prey' on speeding drivers spotted by their cop handlers.

They will 'Swoop' on vehicles and film them with strapped-on mini cameras developed by the BBC for wildlife programmes.
Officers watching on monitor screens will see a readout of the speed — and even details like registration numbers and tax discs.
The Hawkeye system has had successful trials on the M40 in Oxfordshire, where PCs Mark Dalton and Otto Hergt put two birds through their paces.
Mark said: “It’s a valuable new weapon.”
But motorist Andy Pinder, 45, said: “We’re already persecuted, now we’re being hunted.”
And Alan Payne, 47, said: This idea is totally "bird-brained."
