just to remind you who the government is listening to regarding road policy, here is a snippet regarding the latest "idea" from White hair and black eyebrows..OH Darling!...for car sharing:
Tony Bosworth, of Friend of the Earth, said: "If we encourage people to share cars, we are reducing traffic. But what we don't want is to see more road space, which is inevitably going to encourage more people to make journeys."

And also reduce congestion, which reduces pollution, which is your primary transportational aim, isn't it Mr B?
