as not surprisingly I don't read every single thread on these forums.

Or even every post on the threads you do read or you would not be posting -

PetrolTed said:

To be honest your constant whingeing is enough to ask you to leave.

If you'd actually read the threads, as politely repeatedly requested, you might have spotted that my "constant whingeing" was, after extreme constant provocation, finally in fact responding in kind to others "constant whingeing" that every time they come onto one of my threads they find them boring and so don't read them

But have to relieve their boredom by reducing what I had hoped would be a sensible discussion into farce.

PetrolTed said:

Everyone else manages to integrate well enough, I've no idea why you can't.

Again, if you'd read the threads, or even my "constant whingeing", you could have answered that yourself. In fact, all you had to do was read the the parts of the threads that contained posts from people sticking up for me. But instead, you choose to side with the people attacking me without bothering to look at both sides of the story.

If you can't work out what it takes then may I suggest you just find somewhere else to air your views.

I can work out what it takes - soundbites, in your face piss taking on nothing in particular, and keeping off the heavy stuff. It cartainly worked when I was using soundbites, in your face piss taking on nothing in particular, and keeping off the heavy stuff.

Oh, and never disagreeing with certain people.

Did someone mention "misquoting".

Again?

If you really want to know what is happening, and I suppose it's not surprising in the dumbed down PC society we live in, (and as Towman himself admitted) people come "here", including the Speed, Plod & the Law Forum, for light entertainment, not education (OK, the "quote" was "homework").

And despite what people, including yourself, claim, people aren't "integrated", and I am not "preaching to the choir/converted".

If you had bothered to read the threads (including the ones I don't post on) you would have spotted that I generally only post on threads where there are pro-motoring views, and opposing views which undermine the pro-motoring position, which I attempt to show are undermining the pro-motoring position.

Unfortunately, by definition, this is going to "show up" those motorists who hold those views. And we all know you should never criticise a motorists about their motoring.

We also know there are people who get bored too easily with their schoolwork, and, instead of just playing truant, or siting quietly at the back, insist on coming into school spraying graffiti everywhere, doodling on everyone's work, taking the p!ss out of teacher, and generally trying to disrupt the class for their own amusement.

Teacher, though s/he may be expelled for eventually
losing it and daring to "talk in an inappropriate tone of voice" to the little angels they are trying to enlighten, isn't in the wrong, and certainly shouldn't be trying to "integrate well enough" with them.

If you had bothered to read the threads (and the threads started to get away from the graffiti covered threads which were themselves stated to escape from the ones that were doodled all over) you would have noticed the pattern.

But, just as you haven't a clue what I have posted here, because it is sooooooo long and toooooo boring to read, you'll never know what happened in those other threads.

But, if you think that banning someone on the basis of allegations, rather than a fair trail is reasonable and just, feel free.

After all, it's not as if that will give any lurkers from Brake/ T2000/ Reclaim The Streets/ government?.... the impression that motorists find my views so unacceptable that they have to bury them in b*ll*x, (and purleeeeeze don't start with the "preaching to the converted line" - I've just covered that!) or that they believe in punishment without trial for infringing arbitrary (and unclear) edicts.

Is it?

Whatever.

Whether your views are pro-motorist or not isn't he issue. It's the fact that wherever you appear descends into chaos.

Why you persevere here I've no idea.

I wish you farewell and better luck on other sites that are more understanding.

So that's the kind of  "justice" motorists want:

It doesn't matter if you're safe - you were speeding!

And that's the kind of society they want:

It doesn't matter if you're right - everyone refuses to read your posts but reserves the right to fill your threads with inappropriate "responses" and other "contributions!

I must say I have watched this thread from the beginning and what an interesting (and comical) debate it has been.

Diesel ed, I don't know what your profession is, but you are wasting your skills on here.

You should be working with Safespeed or similar. Your knife-like interpretation and reasoning would be both beneficial and welcomed, by the thousands of motorists who are facing ridiculous legal battles generated by the whole speed kills propaganda.

George,

Bogush was a highly intelligent, but rather excitable individual who simply didn't know when to stop in a discussion, and tried to intimidate Ted one night after a bout of argumentative indulgence lasting about four days.
Ted, quite rightly, cut him off in his prime, because he just wouldn't stop.

Shame really, because he was very bright and spoke a lot of sense; but of course there are some people who find that difficult to handle.

Bogush was/is someone who had to have the last word. He has been described elsewhere as a bully. Don't know about that myself.

He had/has a very distinctive style of discussion which it appears some people cannot handle. Yes at times it could be very frustrating, but I had a lot of time for old Bogush because at least his heart was/is in the right place, despite him getting rather intense at times.

Even when pushed with direct insults, of which "Bogbrush" is a very mild example, he would never resort to direct abuse, pertinent and sometimes impertinent questions yes.

It is not a clique thing. Nor having a down on anybody. Diesel ed your "style" of discussion at times is identical to that of bogush. Even some of your arguments are the exactly same, hence remember that post on another thread, where I claimed my £5?

Go on, come out of the closet, you know it will make sense in the long run.

WHAT??? He/she very often started them and would try to belittle anyone who happened to disagree with any of his/her points of view. He/she was very good at direct abuse althoug I agree he/she never actually used expletives in the way he/she did it!

We might have a different view of what consists as abuse.
Simple name calling with no other constructive addition to the discussion is abuse in my opinion. Yes? No?
Dissecting another poster's comments using sarcasm amongst other ways. Not abuse in my book.

You allege direct abuse was made, fine I might have missed it speed reading those enormously long and tedious posts. Very willing to be shown that I am wrong.

You are absolutely spot on FiF!

Before I did anything this morning, I checked through this thread and there are no less than THIRTY SIX "responses" containing personal abuse and insults, most of it aimed at me.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm a big boy and I can guarantee the same individuals who assume the right to participate in digital bullying would not get away with it to my face.
Nevertheless, it is intensely irritating when it reaches these sort of levels, it achieves absolutely nothing in the way of constructive debate, takes up valuable bandwidth and only serves to create bad feeling.

You and I lock horns on here regularly FiF, but we do it with mutual respect and regard for each others opinion; that's the only way to enjoy debate and achieve anything.

How about a new rule Ted, no personal insults, it would make things a lot more enjoyable and creative?

I'll vote for Iolaire's last suggestion, and I'd be totally surprised if that is not in the rules which we all signed up to when registering. Think I had better go and take a look again - ho hum.

Funnily enough Iolaire we have indeed locked horns, but unless my memory is fading only on a couple of issues.

Namely the possible interpretations around the circumstances Iolaire Jnr's speeding case, and secondly just one facet of the Great Heck investigaton. If there have been more instances I do apologise for my delinquent brain cells.

Not that many when you consider the number of issues discussed.

"Not that many" refers to points of disagreement by the way, not the number of my remaining brain cells..... then again.

FWIW and since my name has been mentioned as a holder of such suspicions, I don't think you, Diesel Ed, are the same person as Bogush. It is however true that you have put forth identical arguments, such as attempting to apply road safety principles to the railways, which is why I called one of your posts "Bogushesque".

But why should the fact that more than one person applies basic safety principles to analagous transport systems, in fact to two types of "road" systems, strike anyone as worthy of comment? Surely everyone should be doing it?

George, the main reason I know you're not Bogush, and unfortunately no one else seems to see it, is that he had utterly no sense of humour.

Whereas you, at times you can be just as subtly mental as I. (that's a compliment by the way)

ed,

Seriously, don't get bogged down in all this.

I've been reading your posts and like IOLAIRE you have some very valid points.

Remember, it's far easier to attack a poster on an open forum like this than it is to get off your ass and confront those in charge of the way this country is being run.

Seems people are angry and pissed off, and in my mind rightly so.

The real problem is finding a way to channel all this energy in the right direction.

I have to admit that so far I have no answers to this problem...

My advice as well George, that's why I made the point this morning about insults. I just totally ignore these sort of people now, it's not worth trying to get through to them. I genuinely believe that you could exhaust every intellectual fibre of your mind explaining something to them and all you'd get back would be a blank stare and an insult.
There are some highly interesting people on here, forget about the rest.

Iolaire, It as become evident from replies to your post that your intellect and knowledge gained from life’s experiences and study is frightening those with tunnel vision.

Maybe cognitive therapy would bring out the thought cells that may be lurking in the back of what once was called the brain for chosen individuals.

Your ideas are intrinsic to the thoughts of like minded people willing to adopt, adapt and improve the judicial farce that currently exists in our God forsaken Country.

Good luck with the website, I for one await its conception with eager anticipation

Sorry to say, I used to play this game when out shopping with Mrs T. I`d either get bored or start putting unhealthy, expensive stuff in our trolley, so she`d send me off to play.

After getting bored (again) with the usual........
Putting stuff in other peoples trolleys
Taking stuff out of other peoples trolleys
Moving other peoples trolleys
etc etc etc

I would go to the car park, scoping for the "front door haunters", wait until someone had seen me walking towards my car and then just as they pull up waiting for the vacant space, open the car, get my smokes out and stroll off. Hours of fun.

All hell let loose with the result we had a broken aerial and wing mirror. Eventually the numpties tired of trying to bait me out of the car and drove off.

I got the reg No and went a found a police man and reported it. I was invited to go down to the local nick which I willingly did.

When I got there I was told " we got the bloke , he's well known to us" - Good, I thought, Justice will be done - was it?

Was it hell, the PC immediately accused me of wilfully damaging scrote's car and threatened to charge me with criminal damage. a long argument ensued with no consideration of the facts presented by me or the 3 other occupants of the my car.

At that point we decided discretion was the better course and walked out.

I later discovered that this scrote was a police informer and that the police tended to overlook his indiscretions in return for his tales.

That made me realise the police were no longer my friend, but people to be very wary of.

Subsequent police actions (Inaction?) haven't lessened my wariness/dislike of them.

you have put forth identical arguments, such as attempting to apply road safety principles to the railways, which is why I called one of your posts "Bogushesque".

The man had a bloody TELESCOPIC BATON in his car! Do you know what that is?! It's a bloody extendable solid metal pole! Imagine you become involved in an unfortunate road-rage incident and someone pulls one of them out? I'd bring tears to your eyes, quite literally!!

Oh, i forgot, he'd 'hidden' it there to stop his daughter getting at it...

I'm glad they nicked him, bloody idiot. No doubt he'll walk free though. From his letter he sounds like a stuck-up chinless wonder double-barrelled pr**k, sorry, he does!!

Need the PH collectives help to humiliate a complete pk who thinks it is funny to buy a vibrator in the work Secret Santa thing, for the single purpose of humiliating me in front of all my work collegues. I overheard him saying, bring a camera, it will be worth it to see the look on her face.

FFS I am not a 12 year old who doesn't know what one is! I don't even know the guy other than to nod hello in the corridor. Having laugh with your mates is one thing, but this guy lives for humiliating other people, it is generally why I avoid him. He really needs taking down a peg but I am stuck for ideas. So far I have got:

Gay porn subscription direct to his house.
Knickers sent to his girlfriend with a 'thanks for last night' note on them (bit shitty this one as his relationship is not that strong)
Extra small packet of condoms
Photoshopped pic of him being buggered by a rhinocerous.
Lonely hearts subscription in the Man to Man section.

I could just have a quiet word in his shell like and tell him if I do get what he is thinking of that I will report him for sexual harrassment though. They take that pretty seriously there.

Any ideas?

I see that anyone upseting a member of the PH 'family' is truly dicing with the devil! Wonderful suggestions, thank you all. Particularly like the playstation one and the car in Auto Trader!

The other one I thought of was to wrap up a box in a wrapped box in a wrapped box and so on, until the last box is opened to find a receipt for all the wrapping paper and boxes. Not as nasty or rude as some but a self proclaimed 'practical joker' should appreciate it. By all accounts though he likes playing jokes but does not like to be played. Funny that.

Why am I not surprised that that's towman's mate?

So, basically, they appear to be two faced, schizophrenics with double "one rule for you-one rule for me/ do as we say-not as we do" standards!

Ted Sed:

"The fact is he failed to integrate with this community despite having the same points of view and being offered much advice on how to fit in with fellow petrolheads."

So in:

Secret Santa moron, humiliation help required.

Is Ace-T being offered plenty of advice on how to fit in at work where she seems to be failing to integrate?

And they call me schizophrenic?!

PS What, exactly, was the "much advice on how to fit in with fellow petrolheads" ?

Don't reply to posts (especially insulting and abusive ones)?

Don't post?

"Go Away"?

Or perhaps he's refering to "don't respond to wind-ups"?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

And where, exactly, was the "much advice" to the wind-up merchants to "don't wind people up"?

And what about the wind-up merchants failing "to integrate with this community"?

And why, if I wind them up back, doesn't that count as integrating " with this community"?

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh:

I see:

It's only certain members of "this" community that are alowed to do that!

Basically, if you are bad, then you will be warned that your behavior is not appropriate, if you argue with the mods or do not change, you get Sin binned, where the mods will remonstrate with you, if you do not comply.. you get Banned. And it has been used!

I remember when Pwig was winding someone up, he was put in the bin, got let out, and said 'Cheers Teddy', so Ted slung him back in!

To be put in the bin, you have to irratate a few posters, wind people up maliciously (calling Mungo a socialy stunted hobbit would just be taken at face value, and he'd call me a max-power wannabe with a Van Der Graff haircut, and we'd all laugh), and just being a pain in the arse.

Here's A Classic Pissed-Up Head Thread

December 26 2004, 2:51 PM

Parking Ticket in Tesco?????

Guy in a rush in his lunch break to buy 10 boxes of mince pies for his work colleagues, can't find an ordinary parking space free, and parks in a Disabled Bay for about 10 minutes.

Comes back a mere 5 minutes later to find a parking ticket.

Asks a simple question:

"does anyone know if the fine is legally enforcable"

He accepts that he shouldn't have done it.

He admits that he's done wrong.

He has quite happily paid the fine.

And he's pointed this out several times and and that he's just curious about the legal situation.

And to date there are 90 replies over 5 pages almost exclusively telling him that:

He's done wrong.

He should happily paid the fine.

As well as load of insult and invective.

Did I ever mention the Pissed-On Heads Rules?

Or hypocricy?
