| Should the Kyoto Treaty be strengthened?
Mine:
The BBC is currently carrying (but not giving any publicity to) a report quoting a scientist who has discredited the 'hockey stick curve'. This graph is wheeled out by the doom-mongers and 'greens' who wish to convince us that not only is the world getting warmer, but that it is Mankind's fault and that we must return to the caves in order to save the planet. It seems to me that the only 'scientists' who believe the global warming rubbish are the ones who are subsidised by governments who wish to relieve us of more 'green' taxes. The cost of implementing Kyoto (ie attempting to influence a natural occurrence) will run into trillions of dollars, which would be of far greater use in providing clean water in the Third World. And perhaps the BBC would like to show a little more balance, too. |

And my brother's:
It amazes me how many people have swallowed the 'global warming' myth. We now talk matter-of-factly about 'greenhouse gases' and 'saving the planet', yet if we get down to the real science, there is hardly a shred of evidence showing that CO2 is a greenhouse gas, or that the world is warming at anything other than a natural rate. However, there is plenty of evidence to show that the modest warming is just part of a natural cycle and also that the doom-myths are being circulated by hysterical greenies and governments keen to exploit the situation for their own ends. | |
