At a recent conference, Nottingham was held up as a beacon of excellence. Third fastest growing economy in the UK, seventh largest shopping destination and that's before any major redevelopments and we're the city with the greatest average number of passngers on each bus. More trams, work-place parking levy and congestion charging together with £2Bn of inward investment on the way. A major contributor to this success story was acknowledged to be this site and it's onwer who has done sterling work in discrediting all reasoned opposition. The London Borough of Ealing are particularly envious as their tram project has been shelved thanks to pressure from the road lobby. Someone from there said, "if only we'd had BJ Mann writing to the Ealing Times it would have made all the difference".
