DOZENS of truck drivers demanding lower taxes [and lower fines for driving offenses] took their vehicles to central Brussels with a warning to the government that they will hold major protests if their demands are not met..........

I'm glad someone is showing signs of not giving into this extortion racket of fuel taxes. Do they think we are all stupid?
Milch cows, is the German expression. Stuff the motorist, they always pay up regardless, they have no other option but to pay whatever their government asks

Were these truckers from the U.K. or from continental Europe ? I missed the article!

Remember that they pay less for their fuel across the channel than we do here.

So lets have a blanket cut across Europe plus a bit MORE for us in the U.K.

(A level playing field etc).
