The Peoples Fuel Lobby
Dear sir
I have just watched the Channel 4 program, Sixty Days, Saturday 17th August 2002. I think that you may find what I have to say interesting and ask you to take time to read this letter.
I am a well-read, fully qualified freelance security consultant and have a great deal of admiration for what you and your colleagues achieved. While I sympathise with your campaign, mine is more fundamental, the issue of freedom of liberty, anti-globalisation and the realisation that population control is really here. The issue of population manipulation and control is a main factor in any successful democratic lobbying of leadership that is why it is so important to any government.
Your initial campaign was a superb success that pushed the panic button at Downing Street, your demonstrations were peaceful, well organised and gained the support of many people across the country. It was successful for a number of reasons, the element of surprise being the most important. While The PM was on TV trying his hardest to reassure the public that fuel deliveries would be back to normal in 24 hrs the Governments top risk assessors at MI5 worked away to ensure that the effects of the fuel shortage didn’t compromise the governments position as the leaders of the UK, together with ensuring that it would not happen again. There risk assessment would have included methods to negate future risks to the nations fuel supply and a response to any further protests by The Peoples Fuel Lobby. The actions that the Government taken to discredit yourself and your organisation would have been well planned and researched in advance.
The definition of “Terrorism”, the use of organized intimidation; terrorism [from Latin terrere ‘ to frighten’], Terrorist, a person that uses intimidation to coerce a Government or community.
Right or wrong The Peoples Fuel Lobby meets the definition of a Terrorist organisation and will now be registered as a Domestic Terrorist Organisation with MI5.
Your actions will go down in the present Governments unofficial records as a wakeup call to the power of the population, they will, and have learnt from this experience and have responded with a change in the law to public protest, risk assessment done and methods to negate in place, job done!
You learnt the hard way in dealing with the media and I am sure that you now have no trust in our system of Government or media information, welcome to the party, it’s a frightening form of realisation isn’t it?
You could have beaten the Government on this issue if you knew who you had to beat, the spin that a western world Government can create given almost unlimited resources is a tough player, during the initial protests your group was small, unknown and had the element of surprise as we are now all aware it worked, touché.
Sixty days gave the Government time to move its larger size into action and collect intelligence on its opposition; all of your initial advantages had been lost.
You also face the same problems as the current political parties, apathy, not voter apathy but social apathy, most people in the UK today to wrapped up in their socially styled, self-centred lives that to manage without fuel for any length of time is a fate worse that death, they agree with your actions and arguments as long as it doesn’t affect them. This is your biggest challenge, most of the public in this country lead a comfortable life that they feel they have a right too and will put up with allsorts of restrictions as long as it doesn’t change it too much, this is how population control works, put them to sleep and then change a little slowly. If you where to lobby the Government to increase fuel tax by 100% you would find you have all the support you need, not only to reduce the tax on fuel, but also to overthrow the entire Government.
Remember the poll tax riots that changed Government policy, they didn’t, what changed the Governments policy on the poll tax was a shortage of cash, so many people refused to pay that they couldn’t balance the books, they told the truth about that one.
I wonder to myself if you tried to get any professional help during your protest, difficult because MI5 would have had operatives ready to advise your group to the Governments advantage without your knowledge, a truly impartial adviser would have been difficult to find without professional contacts, something to think about for the future.
The media’s part in the protest was predictable as usual, sensationalize, scandalize and make as much money as possible, all media companies are the same, they are without doubt the most incompetent users of social communication in the world, luckily they all have the same personal profile that makes them easy for the initiated to spot, corruptible aresoles, pawns on the Government chess board.
Can I recommend a book to read, MI6 Fifty Years Of Special Operations by Stephen Dorril, yes the one they tried to ban, draw you own conclusions on Government morels.
Well done again, my personal view is that there is no future for The Peoples Fuel Lobby in its current format, you have no more cards in your hand to play, if you intend to continue to lobby the Government on fuel tax you need a new approach and better resources, they are out there you just need to look for them.
