Cibo V- That be alternate Cibo. Or judging from all the technology she has along with how advanced the Silicon Creature chasing her is, Alternate Future Cibo. She doesn't recognize Killy when they meet in book 5, and so formally introduces herself.
book 5, Page 55 onwards
Killy:"Are there many people named Cibo in the Cyber-Life Corporation?"
AFCibo:"Heh? You know about Cyber-Life?"
Killy:"Yeah. I met Cibo there and came here together."
AFCibo:"?! ...I don't understand. Where is that person now?"
Killy:"Don't know. She was right beside me until I ended up here."

AFCibo:"I see... I came here alone. This is the first time I've seen you."
AFCibo:"I haven't been in here that long myself... A lot of measures and rules don't apply here. Time and space shift like the weather."
AFCibo:"Our realities must be a little skewed from each other's."
American comicbooks have been messing with pointless parallel worlds for a while, but leave it to Nihei to break the readers' brain by making it stranger (yet still giving us the adult Cibo fix we've been lacking for a while).
Cibo VI- Actually, all those powers are from the new outfit she wears. That's right, Ico went and gave her a superpowered suit filled with nifty gadgets that also allowed her spy in on his conversations with Dhomochevsky because "it was the only one that fit." He just never expected her to know how to use it. Well, okay, so he can't be blamed for everything, like that remote control of doom she picks up from who knows where.
It's an older suit, too. I want Safeguard attire. |
