I guess there hasn't been much happening in the BLAME! community lately. I mean, there hasn't been any update of this page (studiokrum), there hasn't been any new web anime released on BLAME!Net, there's been only a couple of releases on Project Omanga, so I suppose that is why nobody talks much.

Me, I can't talk that much about BLAME! because I've only read what has been released by Omanga. Yes, I'm a leech and I don't buy the original manga, but would you if you lived in some south american country where shipping and handling is really expensive and unreliable? I mean, I'd pay a considerable amount of cash for the original BLAME! tankoubons but not if they are all crumpled up or do not arrive at all. Goddamn this country sucks...

South America? Do you like Gabriel Garcia Marquez?

August 13 2002, 1:31 PM

I am reading his "Strange Pilgrims" in Chinese, and "Love in the Time of Cholera" in English (though my English is not well).

I've read "100 Years of Solitude" in Chinese as well, but [as a whole] i like Cholera more. (While i still admit that there are many prominent places in Solitude which are hardly comparable.)

Later i will read "The General in His Labyrinth" in Chinese.

Which work do you think Marquez himself like most?

Why, yes I do... kind of

Well I've only read "Cien años de soledad" (100 years of solitude) and "Crónicas de una muerte anunciada" (guess it would translate to something like "Chronicles of an announced death") and I've liked both of them but not enough to grab another book from him. After all I was forced to read them in school.

Well, in Hong Kong....

Many students just don't know him at all.

i know him just because a female pop star in Hong Kong have a song entitled "100 Years of Solitude". Eventually i know that this is the name of a book of Marquez.

i like his way of description, and some people said that it's "rhythmic".
