Buy me! No buy me! Sorry guys but I've got a message to post at a ST message board.
I know they fucked up with Nemesis. I know cos ppl tell me - I haven't seen it though since I was told to wait till Februrary, and then by that time it wasn't showing anymore. TTT is still showing, but I've seen it 3 times already - so this is what irony is eh?
Similarly, this computer keeps crashing for absolutely no reason, totally random like. I've lost 2 or 3 messages in the last couple days alone, though tbf they weren't v good. But what does one do? Does one blithly accept the fact that their message probably won;'t be heard, and not really bother - or does one write furiously, and try and write the greatest post ever - it might not be sent but at least you would;ve gien it a good go.
My cat is a dumb animal. That for me must be a blessed relief - he has nothing to aspire to, nothing to fall short with, he just exists in his catty state. We otoh have everything to aspire to, and with that the knowledge that in much everything we do we will fall short. But we still give it a good ol go eh? Yeah! We still say bugger that, let's shit some bollocks - but we always know within ourselves that what truely is possible is v probably out of our reach - we can;'t therefore 'exist' in our human state. Our existance is something more precarious, less tangible.. more
And so I think we all know what the point is..... this is ST. Berman now is going on about the whole 'ST isn't like other tv shows' as if that means anything. What matters is it's as good as it could be, which it isn't, and no amount of interviews will change thqat. Bit of a lame comclusion, but I'm on a knifeedge here ppl, you work out the intricies here would ya.
Btw I go with all those Nemesis suggestions, esp the stuf before about making it more relevent to the situation in todays world. (Still, if they do a trek XI there would be an onus (sp?) on them to make it more epic and complex). And as for the Borg, well it kinda makes sense, but it's been proven throughout human history that making sense isn't the same as a good idea. And this has got to be 1 of the worst ideas in the whole history of stuff that doesn't even make sense now I think about it...
