Saddam. I'm pretty ignorant about Saddam but all of the information that's given to us doesnt add up. He seems to be ruthless... with people or groups who try to overthrow the government. He has lots of Palaces... which were actually built when Iraq was a Monarchy. He's a bastard but it's a tough region and it needs a strong leader who Saddam undoubtably was.
The question is was Saddams rule preferable to the alternative.
Bush 1 thought so.
