Dude, I've got my self a producer and have just last night finished the first draft of the screenplay... sorta science fiction, set today but in an alternate reality!!
Actually funy thing about Nemesis is something I saw on TV about the making of Gladiator. Logan had written this script that hollywood loved and had started making, but the script was not up to scratch so they brought in all these other top notch screen writers to fix it. That said, Berman should not have been so proud of nabbing 'the writer of gladiator' so quickly.
Certainly the script could have used some work... not to mention the design of the film. There certainly was potential there, but like Insurrection - it was all just a big rush job. Insurrection could have been so good provided the script level was brought up by a real film writer, and not the series Television writer.
Truth is, the only real good thing about Nemesis was the effects work Digi Domain did. It was like they had always wanted to make a Trek film, and knew how it should be done. So much ode to the earlier movies.
But your alternate relaity story.... whats the deal, huh?
