And I had to retype that title several times because spelling isn't working for me tonight (not that it ever does work for me, but we'll ignore that little fact).
The next one in the films is Prisoner of Azkaban, and it's called the best of the books thus far, although this new one gives it a good run for the money because of how dark and character-driven it is.
Of course, because of said elements it will probably struggle to translate fully onto the screen.
There's (apparently) a lot of trepedition in the fandom because of how people adore Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm not in this fandom, people!! I just know too many people who are.
A lot of what makes the fourth book (Goblet of Fire) so long is the action sequences... there are a lot of elements in both Goblet of Fire and Prisoner of Azkaban which, if they get the special effects right, should look fantastic.
Then there's the editing elements. A lot of the fleshing-out that made Chamber of Secrets (the one I like least of the books, btw) make sense and made the storyline -- as well as a lot of the subplot that kept me enjoy the book -- were cut. Some of them made their way onto the second disk on the DVD, but not nearly enough.
It's all about how the book is (almost) always better than the film. And why am I making a massive post on Harry Potter here? I didn't start it!!
