I remember when this guy was Joel Ryan. We used to play some sticks and shoot some squares together. Then he changed. Oohhhhhh Joel wasn't good enough anymore - if he was going to stand out from the crowd in his new journalistic career he'd have to be Joal Ryan, intrepid news reporter. He'd have to be another person. We weren't good enough anymore.
Well I hope he's happy. I hope he's satified - writing shite little articles on trek. I mean, the twangers over at trektoday at least have an excuse - what's *Joal's*??
"Once-proud" indeed/ Joel my friend - you'll never find pride in yourself until you learn to accept who you are. And that goes for the rest of you.
