I hired out Nemesis Tuesday evening, but made the mistake of also hiring out Donnie Darko at the same time... I didn't get around to watching Trek <sheepish>
But I recently bought the Australian Empire magazine for some pictures I wanted to scan, and it happened to have a rating of all the Star Trek films to date next to the review of Nemesis. I found some of the order rather interesting...
Obviously, the "Steller" ones are the first ones, the "Black Hole" being the end. Okay?
VIII: First Contact
The birth of warp, the Borg wipingout the Earth and saying hi to the Vulcans for the first time. Has it all.
II: The Wrath of Khan
A wrathful Ricardo Montalban spices things up as action rules, life returns and Spock dies.
VI: The Undiscovered Country
The old crew unveil a conspiracy and save the Federation once more. Kim Cattrall is the sexiest Vulcan ever.
VII: Generations
Not half bad, as the Next Generation make it to the big screen and Kirk dies.
X: Nemesis
Action-packed, but not on the galaxy-spinning, world-saving scale.
IV: The Voyage Home
The team return to Los Angeles in the '80s to save the whales. Silly, but fun.
IX: Insurrection
The search for the fountain of youth turns into a long, dullish telemovie.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Stodgy (but often breath taking) fare from the director of The Day The Earth Stood Still
III: The Search for Spock
Spock returns to life as the crew of the Enterprise turn rogue. Zzzzzz.
V: The Final Frontier
Hyper-zzzzzzz.
