Stargate was over for me when they fired Daniel Jackson.
How are you supposed to suspend disbelief with this new guy>? Hes supposed to be an alien? Someone should push him out the Goddamned airlock. Much like Sliders. I stopped watching that When the Prof Left and they turned the Series into a Soft core Porn Show… all very well but I need more than one reason to watch a series.
There doesn’t appear to be any great Syndicated Science Fiction series. Does 24 count? Possibly considering the way Jack Bauer casually shrugs off multiple heart attacks, Nuclear Fallout etc. If you get a chance. Rent the thing and watch it in five hour blocks. (I defy you to try less) Commercial television breaks the tension.
What else… “Grateful Dead Closing of Winterland” It is so Science Fiction. So is A Boy and His Dog which Im sure You haven’t seen but nevertheless happens to be a Masterpiece. IT HAS A TALKING DOG!
After you see ABAHD and GDCOW and you become a Deadhead like me, Rent Seconds. Don’t Buy it. DVDs Melt. And China has developed a Superior Format.
If you’ve ever considered regaining your youth when you reach old Age via Corpse Transplants and Cosmetic Surgery this is the movie for you. I guess thatll have to be it til someone does the DS9 #2 Pilot titled “None of Enterprise is Cannon”
Im still waiting for the Hammer and the Cross Movie Benno.
