It's making Startrek OS relevant to a young Audience by emphasising what is most important.

In a way Startrek was more impressive before they took out the grain. When you couldn't see the strings.
I was reading somewhere that StarTrek First became popular in the 70s when it was syndicated weekday afternoons.
Might happen again.
