Maybe though we've got the corrolation backwards. Perhaps we can only know how good Lost is by seeing how it corrolates to trek? But since our brains are part of the material world.. isn't all consicousness a projection of our attempt to relate to it - through the material world? Or then again, if the reality that we call consciousness is antecedent, well, how can we know what came before!?
Anyway, ~I hear that polar bear turns up again in season 3. That's more like it! though I was reading something recently about how in art sensation is taking precedence over substance. And I'm like, since when is Lost art? Since when are giant elephant floats art? Since when is tht big heltar skeltar in the Tate modern art? See, with sensationalism we don't have to think - we don't have to worry, or consider the consequences - or remember how to relate to what we now have to 'deal' with. But at some point we are going to want to know where we are. It's like me typing, I can't think for shit when I look at the monitor, it's like it sucks my brainwaves out of my head. Same looking at a tv screen - which is why I hold with the 'tv makes you stupid arguement' which all these common popularisors of the mass-tvtainment bullshit are always railing against. Cause it does. The trick is not to look at the monitor but at the keyboard, and trust in your own power to get the right letters i the right order, and if you don't well you can always go back and edit it - and if that doesn't work you can always pretend that's what you wanted to say, that you wanted to give the impression than yo weren't looking at he monitr cos you were thinking i the moment, but in this case I think we can agree that I'm just going to edit it all again to avoid any awark indeifference as to whether he mean this or that - if there are any mistakes then it's cos I didn't notice them as I went through. Course, that's what he would say isn't it it?? How can I trust a bastard who doesn't even like tv? Doesn't know what he's saying.
