There are no flags to be found in any store around me. They are even sold out of red white and blue ribbon and balloons. Finally I dug into my box of Christmas bows and got the red and blue ones out and stuck them (back to back) on the antenna of my white pickup truck. All over town people have flags in their yards and on their cars.

No flags to be found anywhere, and ribbons pretty much the same.
I finally got the idea to get some of that glass paint...you know, like they use on cars for sale?...in red, white and blue. On the driver side rear I painted an American flag, on the passenger side rear I painted a red, white and blue ribbon and the date 9-11-01, and on the back windshield I painted U.S.A. and stars.
If you can't find flags or ribbons, try going to a party store or some similar supply shop and finding window paint. (Don't worry, it comes off with a damp cloth, but won't slide off in the rain.)

I went all over town looking for flags or anything that had red, white and blue on it. As a I'm driving, I'm seeing all these cars with American flags on their cars, and I'm like I want one. I went to Home Depot, Staples, Dollar Stores, Rag Shop, Phamacies, Target, Walmart, and I can't find any flags or anything red, white and blue. I finally went to a Stop 'N' Shop, and bought red, white and blue curly ribbons and tied them on my car antennae with a wire twisty.

I printed flags on the 'puter and stuck them in the window.

But then I found bluelight.com (kmart e site) where they have car flags and the money you spend on them goes to the Red Cross. All of it!

I think I'll keep the flag at half-mast and the candles lit until next Saturday, the time which President Bush has set aside for the country to mourn officially. Of course, we all know that we will all morn for much much longer...
