until I know how others are doing with it. I'm not sure its an upgrade from 98 as much as a whole new operating system anyway.

I still have 98. I like it. I've never changed because it has never had enough to offer me. My husband has ME, and I'm just not all that impressed.

Besides, I'm like Shamba, I am perfectly willing to learn by somebody else's mistake.

I was that way with '98 and "ME". I'm running ME now and like it just fine. But I'll wait to see what bugs they have to work out first, there are always bugs to work out first..... <<LOL>>

I run Windows98 SE. I can't say I LOVE it, but it works better than any of the previous versions. I have only had a couple of experiences with Windows ME and am just not impressed. I still run a lot of DOS stuff and ME tries harder than any previous version of Windows to convince the user that DOS really doesn't exist.

I am not planning to jump on the XP wagon until and unless I hear and evaluate reviews from people whose views I respect.

I don't begrudge Mr. Gates his wealth, but I don't feel compelled to contribute to it just because I have a chance to do so...
